HOW IT WORKS:

Every day as the newspapers are delivered to our offices, a legal notice specialist extracts every legal notice on its first publication. Second and Third publications of the same legal notice are not extracted again. These legal notices are scanned, and put through an OCR process where they are converted to text. They are entered into our database where they are given one or more categories. (For example if a bid is for a new city water tank then that bid would be flagged with a “water tank” category). Each client has their own custom search profile. This client profile contains information on each client as well as a list of categories that is specific to that client. In addition to categories each client may have as many specific keywords as needed to properly cover their requirements. Every afternoon our custom program tries first to match legal notice categories with those categories that are listed in the client’s profile. Next if a legal notice did not match by category then the program searches for keyword matches. All matches are delivered by email in .pdf format each afternoon.
